An article I read recently.

Article.
So, Bill Clinton went to Pyongyang, North Korea to free two American Journalists, who had entered North Korea Illegally. They had only served four months of their designated twelve year sentence.
I believe that if they broke the law in another country, that they should have had to pay the price... Not get a pardon, just because A former president went to visit Kim Jong II.
The only reason they were even let off, is because they were american... and because it would be seen as defiance, and a breakdown of ties between the two countries.
North Korea has already started its nuclear program back up, in complete defiance of several countries... I just don't think that it's fair to those who are in Jail over here, for whatever they've done wrong... when most of them may not get a pardon (well, those who are innocent.)
They got off completely scot-free from a twelve year sentence... What if you were wrongly accused, and had to go to jail for a full twelve years... do you think that they would come to pardon you?
No... Not unless you could prove your innocence.
That's all.
